A scientific poster session and networking dinner for University of Pittsburgh postdoctoral fellows to present research to colleagues, faculty, and administrators. More detailed information is available from Data & Dine 2009, and travel awards are given for the best presentations.
Science 200x is the University of Pittsburgh’s annual broad-based regional celebration of local science and technology. Science 2008, held in October 2008, was a fantastic success. Fall Picnic, another annual event is a chance for Pitt postdocs and their families to get together outdoors and enjoy the (hopefully good) weather, great food, and each others’ company. Last year’s picnic was on September 10th - details are available.
Data & Dine is an annual event, and the jewel in the crown of postdoctoral events. The NPA (National Postdoctoral Association) has a national meeting, to which the UPPDA regularly sends at least one representative from the Executive Board. MIRM (McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine) also has regular meetings, to which the UPPDA sends a representative.
