Interviewing Workshop

The BGSA, 4RS, and UPPDA invite you to the workshop:

The 5 Most Common Interview Styles, and How Scientists Prepare for Them

Presented by Holly Wilbanks from the Wilbanks Consulting Group
on Thursday, August 11th, 5:30-7:00pm in BST S100A

About this workshop:

This workshop includes an overview of the common interview styles (case, behavioral, situational, panel, and presentation). Participants will learn how to prepare for each interview scenario, including sample answers to common questions, materials to bring, and strategies for how to turn it around when things aren’t going according to plan. Finally, participants will learn how to prepare for an interview when they aren’t told the interview format in advance.

Attendees are encouraged to submit one question they have about interviewing in advance of the workshop – such as how to answer a specific interview question, or how to turn around an interview when things aren’t going according to plan – to be uses as a foundation for segments of the workshop.
