This month's speaker, Dr. Derek Miller, is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Otolaryngology in the School of Medicine. He earned his Ph.D. in Sensory and Motor Systems Neuroscience at Northwestern University after completing his B.S. here at Pitt. His current research focuses on the contributions of hindlimb proprioceptive signals to balance control through their influences on reticulospinal neurons. Dr. Miller will be giving his talk titled “Reticular formation neurons with vestibular inputs respond to hindlimb movement” on Wednesday, January 18th2017 in Room 123 BST.
