This month's speaker, Dr. Cedric Peirs, is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Neurobiology. He earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from University of Auvergne before coming to Pitt. His current research focus is on manipulating neuronal activity in the spinal cord to map dysfunctional circuits related to somatosensory diseases like chronic pain. Dr. Peirs will be giving his talk titled “The spinal cord circuit that turns touch into pain” on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 in Room 123 BST.
