Jasmien Roosenboom

Jasmien is a first-year Postdoctoral scholar at the Center for Craniofacial and Dental Genetics. She obtained her Bachelor’s (2010) and Master’s degree (2012) in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leuven, Belgium. She started her PhD research at the same university, investigating facial morphology associated with orofacial clefting. She moved to Pittsburgh in September 2016, to further investigate subphenotypes of orofacial clefting and the genetics of normal-range facial variation. In her spare time, she likes to spend some time in the gym and she is always enthusiastic about trying out new restaurants in Pittsburgh. She looks forward to completing the UPPDA board of 2017 as interim International chair and to help new international postdocs finding their way in Pittsburgh.
