Mariarosaria De Rosa, PhD



Mariarosaria is a fourth-year postdoctoral associate at the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health - UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. She obtained her MS (2013) and PhD (2017) in Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology at the University Federico II of Naples (Italy). Her research aims to understand how specific proteins belonging to the base excision repair pathway deal with oxidative damage at the telomeres in normal and cancer cells.
Before joining UPPDA, as a graduate student Mariarosaria was member of the Scientific Events Organization Board and the PhD students’ Representative at the University of Naples.
