Stephanie Mutchler, PhD

Stephanie is a second year postdoc in the Renal-Electrolyte Division of the School of Medicine. She currently works on understanding the role of salt and aldosterone in altering renal and vascular function in various settings. As a person outside of the lab, she loves to paddleboard, garden, and run through the Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Stephanie hopes as the committee chair, she can help facilitate discussions between postdocs about what is actually useful. She also would like to provide an opportunity for postdocs to get together in a more casual setting to discuss career opportunities, ideas and even frustrations both as a group and with professionals from a variety of backgrounds that are of interest to the group. The biggest goal would be to get all of us as a group to help each other make the big decisions we’re facing because the worst thing that can happen as a postdoc is being isolated and dealing with all the uncertainty by yourself.
